Thank you for your support and consideration in donating to Garden State German Shepherd Rescue. We are an all-volunteer, 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization with no paid staff. All of your donations go directly to helping us rescue German Shepherds throughout New Jersey and surrounding areas.

There are many ways that you can help us. You can donate directly through PayPal (no account needed), or by directly through your payroll; please let us know what organization you would like to use; we will ensure that we are registered.

Over the years we have taken in many dogs that have required costly medical attention.  In 2013, medical bills for our foster dogs Magic, Tiffany, and Gypsy totaled over $10,000 . In 2025 we saved Forrest, his medical bills exceeded $13,000. We, also, do not shy away from rescuing older more costly German Shepherds. Since 2008, twenty percent of our rescued dogs were classified as senior dogs seven (7) years and older. Unfortunately, large breed senior dogs are highest risk of being euthanized in a shelter; your donations and sponsorship will allow GSGSR to continue saving these dogs.

Please remember every donation pays forward for the dogs that are yet to enter our program. Over the years many owners, that can no longer afford to care for their dogs surrender them to GSGSR and those dogs all need even the basic of vetting.
