When you meet Leo you are immediately attracted to those great brown eyes. He will come up to you for a sniff, maybe even a treat and some compassion.

Leo's original owner's house had burned down and they were not able to take him with them when they moved into their new place. He was truly homeless. The great staff at Ocean County Shelter (South) took him in and took great care of him. Now he is ready to go to a warm home.

Though his story is sad, he is a true joy and happy dog. He will take a tennis ball and play with it by himself, batting it around like it is a soccer ball looking to make a goal. He has lived with two other dogs, so he can be comfortable in a dog setting. As far as cats go, well his eyes light up even bigger than with the tennis ball, so no cats in his new home.

Although 9, Leo was ready to go for a jog and lead us on an adventure around the neighborhood. He is ready and willing to find his new forever home.
